A comparative experiment of propogation methods on Dendrocalamus brandisii was conducted by burying bamboo culms and nodes,planting branch cuttings,and covering parts of bamboo culms with soil in the air while another experiment was made by planting bamboo branch cuttings of different ages.The result showed that the highest survival rate(88 25%) was obtained by planting bamboo branch cuttings,especially those at the age of 8 and 12 months.
