摘要
长久以来 ,语用失误更多地被视为语言学研究领域的一个概念 ,或导致跨文化交际故障的一个重要根源。至于它与英语教学的关系却鲜为人重视。大力提倡研究语用失误对教学的意义 ,通过对英语语用失误的分类描述 ,详尽分析导致语用失误的原因 ,进而阐述语用失误与英语教学的关系 ,并最终提出克服语用失误的具体教学方法 ,这对指导高校英语教师开展教学研究 ,培养合格跨文化交际人才不无裨益。
Pragmatic failure(PF) has long been taken only as a notion in linguistic study or an important factor leading to cross-culture communication failure. Yet little importance has ever attached to its relation to English language teaching. This paper focuses on this gap by promoting the significance of PF on language teaching. After classifying the types of PF, the paper makes a thorough analysis on the causes that bring about PF. Furthermore it elaborates the relation between PF and language teaching. Finally some language teaching methods are put forward to help to overcome such failure. The paper will be of benefit to language teachers both in their teaching and training qualified personnels in real communication.
