A Meditated Definition of the Two Characters "召"(zhāo)and "招"(zhāo)

本文通过考察甲骨文、金文以及古今汉语文献资料 ,提出了一些新的观点 ,考释了“召”、“招”本为一字 ,并论证爬梳了“召、招”

Based on the reviewing of Jiaguwen(inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells of the Shang Dynasty),Jinwen(inscriptions on bronze)and other information of Chinese literature both ancient and modern,this assay puts forward the view that the two characters'召'(zhāo)and'招'(zhāo)are the same both in original meaning and in extended meaning.
