京师同文馆的出现和发展 ,它是中国教育的一次大的创新 ,也是中国近代教育的开端 ,初步动摇了中国古典人文教育的传统。反思与回顾这段历史 ,了解中国近代教育蹒跚起步的情形 ,从课程设置、教学方法、教育观念的进步等方面考察它对中国教育近代化的意义 。
The establishment of the Beijing Translation School (BTS) was a major event in the history of China's education and a turning point from the old traditions. An understanding of the origin of China's modern education, as revealed in BTS's curriculum, teaching methods and education concepts, is undoubtedly meaningful in light of today's education reforms.
