摘要
小波包是近年来的一个研究热点 ,在图像处理方面有着很广泛的应用。本文提出了一种基于快速小波包算法的图像压缩方法 ,在一维情况下 ,它比传统算法提高 2 .67倍 ;在二维情况下 ,和具体的图像大小有关 ,但比传统算法还是提高了三至四倍 ,因此加快了图像压缩的进程 ,取得了很好的实验效果。将图像在小波包最优基下展开 ,利用小波包最优基极好的空间、尺度定位性 ,使得图像的小波包变换系数在小波变换域极可能的集中从而使在不降低压缩信号的视频质量情况下 ,提高了图像的压缩比。
Wavelet packet is becoming the focus of research. It is used in image processing. There is a fast wavelet packet method of image compression in the paper. The speed up factor is at most 2.67 in 1\|D. In 2\|D, the speed up factor is relative to the size of the picture. It increases 3 to 4 times compared with traditional methods. So it quickens the process of image compression and gets a very good experiment result. The image is expressed as a linear combination of the best bases of wavelet packet. The energy of expansion coefficients is concentrated in a small number of coefficients because of the location properties of wavelet packet best bases. So it achieves high compression without any losses of visual information of the compressed image.
