摘要
根据中能重离子核反应实验中测量较高能量γ光子的需要,利用国内条件试制了一台大圆柱体BGO探测器。本文报道了晶体的包装与相对光输出以及探测器的能量与时间分辨性能,比较了不同光电倍增管对探测器性能的影响,分析了在有关实验中采用这种探测器的可行性。
In order to meet the needs of measuring high energy γ-rays produced in heavy ion reac- tions at intermediate energies, a large cylindrical BGO detector has been assembled by using China-made crystal and photomultiplier tube. This report presents the light collection method and the relative light yield of the crystal, and the energy and time resolution of the detector. A comparison was made about using different kinds of photomutiplier tubes. The possibility of applying detectors of this kind to heavy ion experiments has been discussed.
