Cathodic electrophoretic coatings have been widely used for surface treatment of metals for their excellent decorative and protective property and no corrosion metal substrate. Features, classification and development history of cathodic electrophoretic coatings were reviewed, and development trend for cathodic electrophoretic coatings in future was suggested.
