An enhanced alignment\|based minutiae matching algorithm for fingerprint verification is discussed. A new method is introduced to evaluate the correlation of two ridges. A matching\|origin\|pair searching algorithm based on such method is also presented accordingly. Experiments show it is an effective matching algorithm in fingerprint verification.
