Study and Realization of G.723.1 Speech Coding Algorithm

介绍了ITU T建议中G.723.1低速率语音编码方案的基本原理,提出了实现这个方案的算法,给出了采用作者提出的算法实现编码的结果,总结了该算法在实际应用中的优缺点.目前该研究成果已应用于视频会议系统,并取得了较为满意的效果.

The principle of G.723.1, the protocol of very low bit rate speech coding, recommended by ITUT, is mainly described first. Next, the algorithm for realization of the protocol is proposed. Then, the results of the coding using the algorithm are presented. The advantages and disadvantages in it's applications are also discussed. The speech coder authors developed has been applied to a video meeting system and shown a satisfied effect.
