Coming Challenge After Entering WTO

我国经济去年一枝独秀,今年仍旧保持好的势头。但是有几个问题需要我们关注:“三农”问题、就业问题、资本市场问题,这些问题不能尽快解决,将不利于我国宏观经济稳定局面的维持,不利于从总体小康走向全面小康这一目标的实现。 食品工业往浅里说能够解决大家的“吃得饮”、“吃得好”的问题;往深里说能够解决我国城乡劳动力过剩问题,对我国长期棘手的“三农”问题也有一定程度上的缓解。从这个角度来说,萧灼基先生此番对我国宏观经济发展和走向的论述,对我国食品工业高层管理人员来说是不无裨益。

In 2003, China national economy was a bright point when world economy fell into low situation. It is gratifying that it keep on developing at high speed so far. However, we must pay attention to the problems, such as issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers, capital market, employment, which would be the unfavorable factor of economic stable-development and achievement of relatively comfortable life if they could not be solved. Food Industry can be considered as the foundational industry to ensure the need of food, deeply it plays important role in absorbing the surplus labor in urban and rural areas.
