On the Traditional Concept of 'Making Objects according to Images' from the Perspective of Design Thinking

以发展中国设计为目的,辨析借用传统装饰元素、弘扬工匠技艺这两种当代中国设计常用手法的表象性特征,阐述传统设计思维在中国现当代设计中的本质性作用,解析独特思维是独特设计的原创动力,只有提炼和采用中国独特的传统设计思维方式,才能创造对世界产生影响力的设计。同时,结合中国传统造物设计的特点,阐释"制器尚象"作为一种思维方式的独特性,并对"尚象"思维的具体方式与手段进行归纳。

The paper illustrates the importance of traditional design thinking to China’s present design with the aim of developing China’s design and analyses the regular design technique with China’s characteristics nowadays by using traditional decoration as well carrying forward the craftsman spirit.The uniqueness of thinking is the root of unique design as well as the power of original design.Only by selecting and adopting China’s special tradition design thinking can better design with worldwide infl uence be created.'Making objects according to images'has been China’s traditional design thinking.The unique design thinking is explained and generalized.
