The difference between the design codes of China,USA and Europe were compared. The whole process of earthquake action calculation was focused on. The results of the earthquake resistance design of the three standards were compares to obtains the conversion relationship between them. This research has sorted out the complete context of the design codes of USA and Europe for the majority of designers,which provides references for them.
