Damage occurred during construction of the composite slabs in a factory building. Safety inspection and appraisal of composite slabs were introduced. Through on-site inspection of present condition,construction quality,and bearing capacity of composite slabs,along with synthetic analysis for the causes of damage,it is discovered that poor construction quality is the main reason. Finally some suggestions for strengthening design and after-use are proposed,as a reference for inspection,design and construction of similar projects.
