湖北麻城梅家墩遗址新石器时代遗存发掘简报

Excavation Report for Neolithic Remains at the Meijiadun site in Macheng,Hubei

麻城梅家墩遗址位于湖北省麻城市中驿馆镇熊寨村一组。2005年9月～12月为配合大广北高速公路建设,湖北省文物考古研究所等单位对工程涉及到的梅家墩遗址进行了勘探和发掘,发掘面积总计450平方米。遗址主要包括新石器时代晚期和商周时期遗存,遗迹主要有房址、灰坑和墓葬,出土器物主要为陶器。本简报报道了遗址新石器时代遗存,为研究该地区新石器时代文化提供了重要的考古资料。

The Meijiadun site is a group of sites located in Macheng city,Zhongyiguan township,Xiaozhai village.Between September and December 2005,in order to assist the construction of the Guangzhou-Beijing highway,the Hubei Provincial Cultural Relics and Archeological Research Institute,along with other units,conducted surveys and excavations of areas of the Meijiadun site touched by the construction projects.The area of excavation was 450 square meters total.The site contained late Neolithic as well as Shang and Zhou period remains.These remains were primarily building foundations,ash pits and tombs.Most of the excavated artifacts were pottery.This excavation report reports on the Neolithic remains from this site,providing new archaeological evidence for the study of Neolithic culture in this region.
