A new probe into the reasons of the success of the Ming Zhi Reformation and of thefailure of he WuXu Reformation

日本的明治维新取得了成功,中国的戊戌变法却遭到了惨败。中日两国历史文化传统不同和资本主义发展程度不同是其根本原因,中日两国面临的国际环境不同是重要的外部原因,而中日两国改革的策略与手段不同,是重要的内部原因。

The MingZhi Reform of Japan has been successful, while WuXu Reformation of China turned to be unsuccessful. I think that the basic reason is the differences of the historical and cultural tradition, and the differences of developing extent of capitalism between China and Japan, that the external reason is the differences of international circumstances which Japan and China faced at that time, and that the internal reason is the differences of the reform' s strategy and means.
