20世纪初,列宁立足于俄国国情,在世界民族民主运动的推动下,为了捍卫马克思主义,争取无产阶级在民主革命和社会主义革命的胜利,历经认同及初步阐释、阐明、完善、实践及完成四个阶段,阐发了他对“民族自决权”原则的深刻理解,从而形成了系统、完整的“民族自决权”思想。这一思想对马克思主义的民族自决权理论有重大发展。

In the early 20th century,Lenin,basing himself upon Russian conditions and with the push of national-democratic revolution around the world,in order to defend Marxism and strive for the victory of democratic and socialist revolutionary,expressed his deep understanding of 'Right of National Self-determination' through admission and explanation,elaboration,perfection and practice,and formed a systemic and complete ideology of 'Right of National Self-determination'.Which is a great development of Marxism ideology of 'Right of National Self-determination'.
