如果以综合有序的语义结构和完整自足的审美客体观照谢灵运诗,便可借前人“深秀”一语总括其审美特质。谢诗通过锤练章法句法字法及用典法彰显诗艺与诗蕴的双重深厚而形成深美特质;通过繁富的物象、逼真鲜明的意象及自铸的语象达成状溢目前的诗境而形成秀美特质。二者作为谢诗审美特质的两翼,又深深植根于作者原初的创造意图与过程中。
The aesthetic features of Xie Lingyun's poems can be summarized with "profound and splendid", a phrase used by people in the past as they are comprehensive and orderly in semantic construction and integrated and self-sufficient as an object of aesthetics. Xie's poems, well-organized in structure and refined in wording, have achieved profound beauty in technique and depth, and, full of lifelike descriptions and images, have achieved splendid beauty in the pictures his poems present. Profundity and splendidness, the two typical features of the aesthetic beauty of Xie's poems, are deeply rooted in the poet's original purpose of creation and inherent in the whole process of creation.
