This article start with marriage system, introduced some distinctive marriage systems in Rome law. Then basic on this ,it discussed the value basis of marriage system in Rome law from the relationship between eguality and freedom , insulated it from the system basis of society, changed the tradition view of the antient marriage system, brought forward the value basis of marriage in Rome law and the values of egulity and freedom which ignored by people generally.
