现代家具设计视角下的伸缩缝研究

Research on Expansion Joint from the Perspective of Modern Furniture Design

伸缩缝可以一定程度防止家具面板过度形变而导致家具边框角榫开裂变形,是中国传统木工艺的精髓。然而模式化的框架结构下的伸缩缝工艺固有结构模式也一定程度上限制了中国现代家具设计的发展。这使得对伸缩缝结构工艺有再研究,改良的必要与意义。通过探讨中国传统伸缩缝背后的意义与价值,及一些西方家具对木材收缩性质处理方式的研究分析,进一步探索现代家具设计应该用何种态度面对传统工艺以及对传统工艺优化的可能性。

Expansion joints can prevent excessive deformation of furniture panel to a certain extent,which leads to cracking and deformation of the corner tenon of furniture frame.They are the essence of Chinese traditional wood technology.The expansion joint technology is still very common in solid wood furniture.However,the model frame structure and the inherent structure of expansion joint technology also restrict the development of modern furniture design in China to a certain extent.This makes it necessary and meaningful to further study and improve the technology of expansion joint structure.By discussing the significance and value behind the traditional expansion joints in China,and the research and analysis of some western furniture on the treatment of wood shrinkage properties,this paper further explores what attitude modern furniture designers should adopt to face the traditional crafts and the possibility of optimizing the traditional crafts.
