Different development models of sustainable agriculture between developed and developing countries

不同的持续农业发展模式应该与该地区的社会经济自然条件紧密相关。本文主要介绍发达和发展中国家农业持续发展的各种不同的模式,通过比较,总结了三点启示。

Different development models ol sustainable agriculture are closely related to local natural, economic and social conditions. This paper presents mainly different development models of sustainable agriculture in both developed and developing countries. In the western countries the proposal for development of sustainable agriculture was based on modern agriculture with surplus of farm products. Naturally their main goals were to protect natural resources and ecological environment instead of increasing production. While in most of the Oriental countries the development of sustainable agriculture was based on traditional agriculture with shortage of farm products and low productivity, so increase of production had to be taken as a major goal.
