近年来,超声治疗除了采用直接法、间接法外,又出现了超声药物透入疗法。这种新型的经皮给药疗法是利用超声波作为物理促进剂,在1960年左右最先被应用于运动医学,随着技术的不断成熟和临床应用的日益发展,目前,超声药物透入疗法已逐渐成为传统经皮给药的一种极具潜力的替代方式,在原有基础上结合了超声物理作用与药物疗效于一体。
