Improvement Design of Rock Scars by Combining with Landscape Construction

摘要 Present improvement design of rock scars puts safety first by only simply covering the scars with engineering materials and vegetation, has no outstanding artistic effects, or sightseeing and ornamental functions. This study highlighted new principles of the improvement design of rock scars, "respecting the nature, stabilizing slopes, choosing right trees for right land, economic and beautiful, as well as integration of particularity and harmonious beauty, artistic and functional attributes, innovative and artistic designs". On this basis, basic design concepts of the improvement design were given, the Silver Mountain of Liuzhou City was taken for an example to analyze local geologic conditions, present rock scars, climatic conditions, plant resources and vegetation growth on stone mountains, then further discuss concrete design techniques for the improvement of rock scars. The results showed that by combining engineering technology and landscape construction, safe and high-efficiency garden landscapes with rich layers, vivid and natural designs, and complete functions would be constructed, easily accepted by the people, and a good example set for the improvement design of rock scars in other regions.
