叶基莫夫是当今活跃在俄罗斯文坛几位老作家之一,他善于创作传统俄罗斯农村文学,是俄罗斯农村文学的继承者和开拓者。在他的农村题材作品中,叶基莫夫不仅善于描写日常生活中的琐事,通过描写这些"平凡的小事"揭露出当时俄罗斯社会和现实生活中的社会道德问题,更重要的是,这些叶基莫夫式小说包含着作家独特的创作风格和诗学特征。叶基莫夫发表于上个世纪80年代的短篇小说《治疗之夜》(又译《童心》)是这类农村题材小说的代表作之一,该小说不仅"以小见大",独具特色地反映出现实生活中的道德问题,而且更流露出作者的创作天分,表现出叶基莫夫式的艺术世界。

Ekimov is the contemporary Russian writer, he is good at creating traditional literature on Russian rural areas and is the inheritor of Russian rural literature. In his works, Ekimov is not only good at describing the daily life trifles, but reveal today's Russian society and the real-life moral issues by describing these trivial matters. More importantly, these Ekimov's works contain writer's unique creative style and poetic features. In the 1980 s the short story 'Healing Night'(also translated as 'Innocence') published by Ekimov is one of the masterpieces on Russian rural literature. The short story not only reflects moral issues in the real life,but also reveals the author's creative talent and his art world.
