功能目的论视角下的旅游景区日文公示语翻译研究——以湄洲岛妈祖庙日文公示语为例

A Study on the Translation of Japanese Public Signs in Tourist Attractions from the Perspective of Functional Skopos Theory——Taking the Japanese Public Language of Mazuzu Temple as an Example

本文以湄洲岛景区日文公示语误译为例,分析其误译的原因并根据公示语类型提出翻译策略。其中,湄洲岛妈祖庙中指示性、警告性的公示语,可以采用直接借用的方式,借鉴参考我国新颁布的《公共服务领域日文译写规范》和日本东京都修订的《国内外游客简明观光指示语标准化指南》中的译文。妈祖文化相关的景点介绍指示语的翻译应遵循目的论的原则及翻译策略,摆脱以文本为中心的等值束缚,应该针对其目的灵活采用多种翻译策略和方法,将其中所蕴含的妈祖文化的深厚底蕴准确恰当地传递给目标受众,更好地实现跨文化交流,起到宣传妈祖文化的作用。

In view of the irregularity of Japanese public signs on the Meizhou Island,the paper borrows Professor Ding Hengqi’s A-B-C model,that is,from the'imitation-borrowing-innovation'model.First of all,the translations of indicative/warning public signs in Mazu Temples on the Meizhou Island can be found in the revised public guidelines in Tokyo and'the Japanese Translation and Writing Standards in the Public Service Areas',and can be borrowed directly.Secondly,the translation of Mazu culturerelated signs should follow the Skopostheorie principles and translation strategies to get rid of the constraints of text-centered equivalence,and the translation of such signs should adopt a variety of translation strategies and methods aiming at the flexibility of their purposes,so as to properly and accurately deliver the profound implications of Mazu culture to the target audience,which would be better ways to achieve cross-cultural exchanges and promote Mazu culture.
