The People’s Army,which was born in times of crisis,survived and developed in extremely difficult circumstances.One of its fundamental experiences was that it adhered to the unique road of political construction.The founders of the People’s Armed Forces such as Mao Zedong,Zhou Enlai and Zhu De explored the early practices of army construction and they solved a series of vital problems concerning the future construction of the new-type People’s Army,including determining its nature,its ultimate aims and tasks and cultivating the military soul of the Party’s absolute leadership over the army.The basic principles and methods of military political work were thus formulated,which,in the essential sense,distinguishes our army from all old military forces.The Gutian Conference resolution offers a systematic summary of the initial construction experience of our Army,gives a scientific and theoretical outline of the content and methods of the principles of political building,and provides the correct direction and ways of military construction.This is a continuous and strong impetus for the development and growth of the People’s Army.No matter what changes may occur in the future,our military will unswervingly follow the path of political construction.
