浅议吴佩孚由“和平统一”到“武力统一”思想的转变

在众多北洋军阀中,吴佩孚是位颇为特殊的人物。五四前后,他的政治主张经历了南辕北辙的变化过程,即由和平统一中国转向武力统一中国。其转变的主要原因有:国内局势的复杂动荡及个人实力的强弱;主观上存在传统儒家思想与五四运动进步思想的矛盾;强烈的个人私欲。在多变的时势下,他最终淡出了历史的舞台。
