随着跨文化交际活动的日益频繁,交际过程中出现了许多阻碍冲突,语言的误译是其中的一个重要因素。汉英翻译中"龙"与"Dragon"的误译可以说是一个典型案例。本文将从跨文化交际的角度,以"龙"与"Dragon"的误译为例,分析两者文化内涵的差异,对两者误译的历史渊源进行解读,并力图提出解决方案。
With the frequent activities of intercultural communication,many conflicts appear during the communication process.Mistranslation is one of the reasons causing these conflicts.The translation between'龙'and'Dragon'is a typical case of mistranslation.This essay will analyze the different cultural connotations between'龙'and'Dragon'from the angle of the intercultural communication.It will also search for the historical source of such a mistranslation and criticize the potential damage,and finally try to find some solutions for the'龙'translation.
