'Saerhe'is a funeral ceremony in which the Tujia people mourn the dead in a joyous form of songs and dances.It is the result of the long-term accumulation of Tujia culture and an important carrier of Tujia people’s cultural heritage.'Saerhe'consists of music,dance and lyrics.It’s very unique,and the content of the song lyrics is very rich.From the angle of rhetoric,the article analyzes the rhetorical devices such as metaphor,euphemism,exaggeration,parallelism and so on appearing in the song lyrics of'Saerhe'and discusses Tujia people’s unique perception on life and death,affection and the value of life.
