On Enhancing English Teachers' Traditional Cultural Awareness and Its Strategy

从当前高校英语教学的状况看,过分重视目的语语言和文化的教学而忽略了对传统文化传递与弘扬是普遍存在的问题。本文拟分析目前英语教师传统文化意识缺失的原因,探讨培养高校英语教师传统文化意识的必要性并提出建议。

In current college English teaching, focus on target culture and neglect the traditional culture has become a big issue to English teachers. This paper, based on analysis of reasons for English teachers’ unawareness of Chinese culture input, claims that English teachers must shoulder the responsibility of introducing the traditional culture in English teaching and some specific strategies are recommended.
