新时期大学英语教学应以多媒体、网络技术为支撑,以学生为主体,提高其自主学习、独立学习的能力。而高校大学英语采用多元化教学方法,不仅突破了原有传统的教学模式,还能够激发学生学习英语的积极性、自主性和创造性,也能促进教师因材施教,为学生选择合适的教学媒体和教学环境,使其在英语学习中充分发挥自身优势、弥补不足,以更好地适应新时代对大学英语教学的要求。

Nowadays, based on the multi-media and network technique, college English teaching is supposed to be student-centered, and endeavors to prompt students' autonomic learning and independent learning. Multi-teaching in college English teaching has several advantages, i.e. not only can it break through the old traditional teaching model, but also can stimulate students' enthusiasm, independence and creativity in English learning; meanwhile, it could accelerate the teacher to teach students according to their different aptitudes, help students to choose proper teaching media and environment and make full use of their advantages and cover shortage in order to better adapt to the new requirement of the new era towards college English teaching.
