从目的论理论角度看译者的隐身与现身

Translators' Invisibility and Visibility based on Teleology

传统翻译观认为译者作为原文信息的传递者固然应该隐于文本后不露痕迹忠实的传达原文信息,但是在翻译实践告诉我们译者作为有思想的生活在特定社会环境中的个人其翻译行为不可能做到完全的忠实,因此就出现了译者的现身问题。那么译者的现身是否是可以的,是否有助于翻译目的的实现。本文以翻译"目的论"理论作为支撑,将通过对中西方传统翻译观的回顾并结合相关的实践中的成功的翻译例证论述译者现身的必然性和必要性。

In traditional Translation Conception, Translators should be loyal to the source text. However, absolute loyalty is impossible since translators are people with different thoughts and living in specific social environment. Thus the Visibility of translators is unavoidable. Then whether the Visibility of translators is allowed and whether it can help achieve the aim of translation. This paper is based on Teleology, will review the traditional Translation Conception and will illustrate some successful translation cases to prove the Visibility is inevitable and important.
