谶言手段的运用是古代小说艺术形式上的一个闪光点,梦谶即是其中的一种。梦谶早见于《史记》中的先秦传述,对人物命运、事件结局进行巧妙地预示。此后历代史传、小说作品中,梦谶无论是在情节的渲染上,还是在布局的结构上都起到了重要作用,至《红楼梦》,达到一个新的高度。
