Through the rich teaching design about the students' interest, arouse the enthusiasm of students learning, to ensure the improvement of their English listening and speaking skills, to cultivate practical talents with English communication ability. This paper introduces the present situation of the higher vocational English listening class, analyzes the defects and problems of English listening teaching, discusses the strategy of optimization of higher vocational English listening teaching, thus ensuring higher vocational English teaching level.
