An Overview on the Baddeley's Multi-Component Model of Working Memory

In Baddeley’s theory of research, it is pointed out that working memory is a system essentially. The energy of the system is not limitless. Its function is processing and storing information temporarily. Based on the theory, Baddeley made the multi-component model which led to researchers’ extensive studies. In this paper, an analysis is made first on the evaluation of the model, and then an introduction is made to the different components of the model, finally some specific problems are pointed out for each components. It aims at helping people to grasp the connotation of the working memory accurately.
