摘要
作为一名优秀的翻译家和英文集大成者,林语堂在翻译实践与理论上都大有成就。特别是在"美学"方面做出了进一步的创新突破,将美学思想运用于翻译理论与实践中去,提出"翻译是一种艺术"。林语堂崇尚"和而不同"的美学效果,在他的许多作品中都得到了淋漓尽致的展现。本文通过对其经典译作细细品读与分析,结合林语堂翻译观,浅析他翻译活动中的美学思想。
As an outstanding translator, writer and poet, Lin Yu-tang made great contributions to translation theory and practice. His informal but polished style in both Chinese and English made him one of the most influential writers of his generation, and his compilations and translations of classic Chinese works into English were famous and popular in western countries. This paper, through a careful reading of Lin Yu-tang's translation works, is intended to analyze his aesthetics principle of translation.
