浅析形声字

Brief analysis of Pictophonetic Characters

本文以汉字表意性的两个层面为前提,分别从形声字来源、形声字作用及汉字走形声化道路而非拼音化道路之原因等三个方面展开对形声字的浅析。本文认为,汉字由"象形"到"形声"的发展过程并不是向表音体系转变,而是加深了汉字的表意性,形声字形旁表意、声旁表音作用的减弱是由多方面因素造成的,汉字不走拼音化道路主要是由汉语的性质和特点决定的。

The premise of this essay is the two planes of Chinese character’s ideographic quality, analyzing pictophonetic characters respectively from their sources, functions and the reason of taking pictophonetic way but not phonetic way.The essay considers that the process from pictograph to pictophonetic characters is not the transformation to system of phonography, but strengthens Chinese character’s ideographic quality. Some factors contribute to the weakness of effects of meaning radical’s ideography and phonetic element’s phonography. Chinese characters don’t take phonetic way, which is mainly determined by Chinese quality and characteristics.
