堂子祭祀是满族特有的萨满教祭祀活动,在清入关前这一特定的历史时期占有重要地位。以努尔哈赤、皇太极为首的统治者对萨满教堂子祭祀加以改造、利用,使其在女真诸部的统一、中央集权加强的过程中发挥了重要作用。
