摘要
大学英语教学改革倡导采用科学的教学方法和策略提升英语课堂的实用性和有效性。众多研究表明,教师在英语课堂上使用语码转换这一教学策略可以帮助学习者更好地理解和掌握目标语言。然而,学习者对于教师在课堂上使用语码转换的态度仍然有待探究。本文对福建江夏学院125名非英语专业本科生进行了相关问卷调查,结果表明学习者对于教师使用语码转换这一教学策略持肯定态度,并认为教师在课堂上适当使用母语可以帮助他们更好地学习目标语言。但是本调查也发现,教师在课堂上过多地使用母语会导致一系列的问题。对此,本文也提出了相关教学建议,希望能为大学英语课堂教学和教学改革提供参考。
College English teaching reform advocates the use of scientific teaching methods and strategies to improve the practicability and effectiveness of English classes. A lot of studies indicate that teachers' code-switching in English classrooms can help enhance learners' acquisition of the target language. However, learners' attitudes towards it are still under investigation. In this study, a related questionnaire was distributed to 125 non-English major students in Jiangxia university. The result shows that learners hold a positive attitude towards teachers' use of code-switching in English classrooms and consider that a proper use of code-switching can help them learn the target language better. Nevertheless, the study also finds that the overuse of code-switching may generate some disadvantages. Therefore, some related pedagogical suggestions are also proposed in hope to provide reference for the future college English classroom teaching and teaching reform.
