城市公示语作为一种交际工具,它在一定程度上反映了一个城市经济、政治、文化发展的水平。在调研了东莞市公示语翻译的现状后,发现东莞市公示语英文欠规范、存在诸多语言信息处理问题和语用文化问题,这些问题可通过相应的对策来解决,如强化公共服务意识、加强政府职能部门的管理工作、建立公示语平行语料库以及发挥地方高校在城市双语文化建设中的作用。

The public signs, as a communication tool, to some extent, reflect a city's economic, political and cultural development. In the investigation of the status of Dongguan public signs translation, the translation problems are found, such as the lack of standardization, language information processing problems and pragmatic cultural issues. These problems can be solved by the corresponding strategies, such as strengthening public service awareness, improving the management of government departments, establishing the public language parallel corpus and making local colleges and universities engage in the city's bilingual cultural construction.
