早在2003年我国试行的《大学英语课程教学要求》中就对"培养学生的英语综合应用能力"这一观点提出了明确要求,并对学生英语能力也提出了具体的要求。大学英语的四级考试是我国的最高教育行政主管部门组织的一项全国性的统一考试,这项考试具有很高的权威性。因此,在各高校中加强对英语四级考试的教学已经成为一个重要的教学环节。在一定程度上,大学英语四级考试的通过率也成为对高校英语教学水平、教学质量进行衡量和主要标准之一,再加之英语四级考试的通过率是对高校本科英语教学水平是否合格的一个重要指标,很多高校对四级考试的重视程度非常高。在大学英语四级考试这根指挥棒的指挥下,大学英语教学中已经有针对性地进行了改革。本文将就我国医学院学生英语四级的通过率进行分析,并探讨提高他们四级通过率的有效途径。

In 2003 China's implemented 'College English Curriculum Requirements', put forward specific demands of 'cultivating students' comprehensive ability of using English', also put forward specific requirements for students' English ability. CET4 is thenational unified examinationorganized by the highest education administrative department, the examination has a very high authority. Therefore, it has become an important teaching link to strengthen the teaching of CET4 in the universities. To a certain extent, the pass rate of university CET4 has become one of the major standards for college English teaching level, teaching quality, CET4 pass rate is an important indicator tojudge whether the English Teaching in Colleges and universities is qualified, many universities pay great attention to it. The college English teaching reform is targeted. This paper analyzes the pass rate of students' CET4 in Chinese Medical College, and discusses the ways to improve it.
