《了不起的盖茨比》作为描写美国20世纪20年代社会景观的最佳文学作品,自1925年问世至今一直广受读者和批评界的好评。本文将采用叙事学家西摩·查特曼的观点,拟从"故事空间"和"话语空间"两个方面来探讨和分析该小说叙事空间的特点。
As the best literary work describing social landscape of the United States in the 1920 s, 'The Great Gatsby' has enjoyed great popularity among the readers and critics since its publication in 1925. This paper will use Seymour Chatman's point of view, from two aspects of 'story space' and 'discourse space', to explore and analyze characteristics of the narrative space in this novel.
