The value of the Bible is not only limited to the influence of western religion, to a certain extent, the development of English and American literature has a very important role. This paper aims to analyze the Bible influence on American literature significance, aiming at the concrete content of Bible in the accurate analysis of the development of the history of Western literature, so as to improve the understanding of English and American literature, to lay a foundation for further creation of British and American literature.
