翻译特性视域下中国古诗词英译实践原则

The practice of translating Chinese classical poetry into English from the perspective of translation characteristics

翻译在世界各国、各民族的相互交流中起着中流砥柱的作用,而作为中华文明载体的中国古诗词的英译更是中外交流的一个重要桥梁。翻译的社会性、文化性、符号转换性、创造性、历史性使得中国古诗词的英译困难重重,但又不是不可行的。本文以翻译特性为视角,提出在中国古诗词的英译实践中应依次遵循去字梏、重组句、建空间的原则,使中国古诗词的翻译妙不可言。

Translation plays an important role in the communication between the world and the nation, and the English translation of Chinese ancient poetry as the carrier of Chinese civilization is an important bridge of communication between China and foreign countries. The social, cultural, symbolic, creative and historical features of translation make it difficult to translate Chinese classical poetry into English. In this paper, the translation characteristic as the angle, proposed that in the translation of China ancient poetry we should rebuild sentences, building space principle, make the Chinese translation of ancient poetry too wonderful for words.
