摘要
本研究基于Chen和Starosta提出的跨文化敏感度模型,对一所大学英语专业的学生进行了跨文化敏感度水平的测评。研究发现,学生的差异认同感最高,其次是交际参与度,交际专注度和交际愉悦感,而交际信心最弱。建议学生在跨文化交际中建立自尊心和自信心,提高自我监控力。
Based on the intercultural sensitivity model proposed by Chen & Starosta, the present research made an empirical investigation on the level of intercultural sensitivity of English-majors in a university. It was discovered that the students got the highest mark at Respect for Cultural Difference, followed by Interaction Engagement, Interaction Attentiveness and Interaction Enjoyment, and the lowest mark at Interaction Confidence. It was suggested that they foster self-esteem and self-confidence, and increase self-monitoring in the intercultural communication.
