摘要
英语听力是听、说、读、写四项基本技能中最重要却被广大师生所忽略的技能,听力能力的缺失在很大程度上影响着英语水平的提升。笔者从大学英语专业学习者现状入手,分析了英语学习者听力理解能力较差的原因,并探讨了如何正确运用"自上而下"与"自下而上"听力模式提高英语专业学生的听力水平。
Listening skill is regarded as the most difficult skill among four language skills. However, listening is always neglected by teachers and students, due to it is always regarded as a passive activity in past. In this essay, the author takes English major undergraduates as example to analyze how bottom-up process and top-down process contribute to listeners' comprehension.
