The Construction of Writer Identity in English news commentary——Based on Modality Type and Genre Structure

建构作者身份的语言资源很多,本文从情态资源入手,结合宏观语类结构探讨英语新闻评论中作者身份的建构。研究发现,为了更好地实现与读者的互动,中美作者均在写作过程中积极进行着多重性身份的建构与转换,由于受新闻评论这一体裁的固定特点的影响,这其中不乏相似之处。本文旨在为英语新闻评论中作者身份建构的研究提供一个新视角。

There are a lot of linguistic resources to construct writer identity.In this paper,the author tries to explore the construction of the writer identity in English news commentary from the perspective of modality,with the combination with generic structure.The study finds that to better interact with readers,Chinese and American authors construct and transform multiple identities in writing.Due to the stable characteristics of genre structure,which are similar features between Chinese and American authors.The purpose of this thesis is to provide a new perspective for the study of the author's identity construction in English news commentary.
