《英汉大词典》例证中的意识形态

Ideology in examples in an “English Chinese Dictionary”

词典编纂与所处时代意识形态关系密切。不同社会环境和条件形成的和主导特定历史时期的意识形态都会对词典编纂产生影响,在例证上尤为明显。本文以《英汉大词典》两个版本为例,考察不同版本例证中意识形态的异同,探究意识形态如何通过词典例证体现。研究发现词典编者应尽量克服意识形态的影响,选用更为中性的例证。

Lexicography is closely related to the ideology of the times.The ideology formed in different social environments and conditions and the specific historical period will have an impact on Lexicography,especially in the case of illustration.Taking the two editions of the 'English Chinese Dictionary' as an example,this paper examines the similarities and differences of ideologies in different versions of examples,and explores how ideology manifests itself in dictionaries.The study found that the editors should try to overcome the influence of ideology and choose a more neutral example.
