滕代远与中长铁路有着密切的联系,他掌管铁道部期间,主张积极向苏联学习先进经验,不断推广"学中长"运动,对提高铁路经营管理、运输生产等都发挥了积极作用,促进了中国铁路建设的现代化发展。

Teng Dai-yuan and China Changchun railway are closely linked. During in charge of the Ministry of railways, he advocated to learn the advanced experience of the Soviet Union, to promote the movement of Learning experience of Changchun railway in China. He played an active role in improving the railway management, transportation and production, and promoted the modernization of China's railway construction.
