基于数据统计的大学英语四级成绩分析与探讨

摘要 本文以本校2013级和2014级本科生为研究对象,通过多元线性回归分析高考成绩、大一学年英语期末卷面和平时成绩的平均分对大学生入学后首次大学英语四级考试(College English Test Band Four,简称为CET4)的相关状态,分析得出:四级成绩与高考成绩正相关关系且最为密切,说明了在英语四级考试中基础的重要性。其它四个分量,表明学生入学一年后的英语水平及努力程度,这些都影响了最终的四级分数。 Taking students who entered college in 2013 and 2014 as subjects, this paper analyzes associated statuses between students' scores of College English Test Band Four(CET4) and those factors which are college entrance examination scores, average final exam scores and average class performance scores in freshman year through multiple linear regressions. The results indicate that CET4 scores correlated positively with college entrance examination scores, meaning the closest association between the two, which illustrates the importance of students' English foundation to CET4 scores. Other four variables show that students' English level and degree of their hardworking during college study both have a certain impact on CET4 scores.
