On the connotation and significance of Leech seven point method and its implications for primary school English Vocabulary Teaching

词汇教学是英语教学中最基础的部分,词汇的意义也是英语学习,甚至是语言交际中最重要的部分。本文以Leech的意义七分法为理论支撑,提出在词汇教学过程中,不仅要教授词的概念意义,更要注重词的内涵意义,从而帮助学生减少词汇误用,能顺利运用英语词汇进行语言交际。

Vocabulary teaching is the most basic part of English teaching. Vocabulary is also the most important part of English learning and even language communication.In this paper, the significance of the Leech seven law theory, put forward in the process of vocabulary teaching should not only teach lexical conceptual meaning, we should pay more attention to the connotative meaning of a word, in order to help students reduce the misuse of words, can use English vocabulary in language communication.
